HOW TO OPERATE YOUR NILES KEYPADS

ACTIVATE AUDIO IN A SPECIFIC ROOM OR ZONE

Select the source that you would like to hear by pressing any one of the four rectangular source buttons located at the top of the keypad for approximately one second. The selected source will show a GREEN glow to indicate that it has been activated. (If the source button is flashing RED, this is an indication that the system is busy. Please wait five seconds and try the command again.)

Typical sources include AM/FM, CD1, CD2, & SAT.

Example source selection buttons:

USING THE TRANSPORT KEYS

AM/FM

• Up = NEXT PRESET
• Down = PREVIOUS PRESET
• Left = SCAN BACK
• Right = SCAN FORWARD
• Center = AM/FM TOGGLE

CD

• Up = NEXT DISK
• Down = PREVIOUS DISK
• Left = TRACK BACK
• Right = TRACK FORWARD
• Center = PLAY

SAT (DIRECTV)

• Up = NEXT CHANNEL
• Down = PREVIOUS CHANNEL
• Left = 8
• Right = 4
• Center = 0

When listening to the SAT source, you can easily navigate to the beginning of the satellite audio channels by pressing the following buttons in this order. (Channel 804)

1. Left = 8
2. Center = 0
3. Right = 4

USING THE NUMERIC KEYPAD

Numeric keypads give you the flexibility to jump to a specific CD, track, radio station, or satellite audio channel.

AM/FM

To manually tune to a specific radio station:

1. Select the AM/FM source and choose AM or FM band.
2. Enter the full number of the desired station.

• Example 1     102.1 = 1, 0, 2, 1
• Example 2       97.9 = 0, 9, 7, 9

CD

To manually select a specific CD located in a CD changer:

1. Press the CD1 or CD2 source button.
2. Press the button labeled DISC.
3. Enter the number of the disk you want to hear.
4. If the CD you want to hear is number 10 or higher, you must press the GROUP button after entering in the disk number.
5. Press the button labeled FAV to complete the command.

TO POWER OFF A SINGE ZONE

• Press the OFF button for one second.

Activate audio across all zones

To activate all zones on a specific source:

• Follow the above instructions to select your desired source.
• Adjust the volume to a comfortable listening level. (This will be the volume that all zones will activate at.)
• Press the desired source button once more and hold it down until all zones turm on. (The source button will turn off and cycle back on indicating that the all on command was sucessful.)

To change the source audio across all zones:

• Press and hold down the new source button for four seconds.
• Release the source button. (The source button will turn off and cycle back on indicating that the ALL ON command was sucessful.)

TO POWER OFF ALL ZONES

• Press and hold the OFF button for four seconds.
